Imagine having a calm, trusted friend by your side throughout your entire journey of bringing your baby into the world, that’s what my birth doula support is all about. Having a baby is a big deal and every family’s story is different.

Before the big day, we’ll get together for two prenatal visits where we’ll dive into your wishes for birth and postpartum, explore all your options and I’ll show you some comfort techniques so you feel prepared and confident. It’s also a safe space to bring up any fears or worries you might be carrying, big or small, so we can let some of that weight go before labour begins.

As soon as we start working together, I’m just a phone call or text away whenever you need a reassuring voice. When labour starts, I’ll head your way and stay by your side with gentle hands for massage, calm guidance for your breathing and a steady, reassuring presence. I’m there for your partner too, helping them feel confident and involved so you can be a great team. I’m with you continuously from active labour through those first precious hours after birth, till you are settled and feeling good, usually for an hour or two. My goal is to make sure you feel informed, heard and cared for.

We’ll get together again about a week later for a postpartum visit to gently process your birth story, offer (breast) feeding support and if you ever need extra help down the road, I can connect you with other trusted pros in our community. Think of it as a warm, cozy net of support, there to hold you through the whole wild and beautiful experience.
